We arrange orchids as cut sprays inside bouquets, baskets and boxes rather than selling a single stem. Cut phalaenopsis holds seven to ten days, which is why it belongs in an arrangement instead of alone in a vase.
Choose a piece from the shop and the cart takes it from there: you confirm, and the order exists — numbered, with a status page — before you close the tab. Paying comes after that, and you set the terms: a secure Stripe page, card or phone wallet — or nothing now, with the courier paid on delivery, cash or card. Every arrangement is built by hand in the studio and photographed before it goes out, so you see the real thing. The drive itself is fine; a hot car left in the sun afterwards is not, because heat is what makes unopened buds drop.
Three things: which orchid goes in — cymbidium, dendrobium or phalaenopsis — how many sprays the arrangement carries, and the season, since cymbidium is a cool-months flower and harder to find outside them.
Every product in the shop shows its own price, so browsing answers it fastest. For a size or a colour that is not listed, message the florist on WhatsApp and it is priced before you commit to anything.
Cymbidium or dendrobium: a spray holds two to three weeks in water, while the roses around it manage five to eight days. Cut phalaenopsis sits between the two at a week to ten days. Cymbidium comes in the cooler months; phalaenopsis and dendrobium are here year-round.
When the roses go soft around day six, lift the orchid stems out rather than throwing the arrangement away, take a centimetre off each with a sharp blade and stand them in a small clean vase — usually another week.
Because a spike opens from the base upward, not all at once. The coloured buds above the open flowers follow over the next week; the smallest green ones at the very tip usually never open, on any orchid.
Fresh orchids nearly always arrive this way — it is a sign of stage, not of a tired stem. They also drink very little, so a water level that barely moves is normal.
Ethylene — the gas ripening fruit gives off. Orchids are among the handful of cut flowers that react to it strongly: a bowl of apples in the same room collapses the open blooms within a day or two, while the buds behind them simply stay shut.
A sharp temperature swing does the same — a hot car, then a room at nineteen degrees, and unopened buds yellow and drop. Handle them by the stem as well: petals bruise where fingers press, and the mark browns a day later.
